Been trying to figure out how Arcanum had the path out of shrouded hills blocked on the world map. I know they used a locked gat, but for some reason, even with 2 screens of water between the 2 land masses, I can travel across using the overworld. I've even pause the travel and appeared standing in water.

It's very odd but although I've gotten close, I can seem to make it work. Something that's made an impact is changing the detection radius for an unknown location to 0 (cannot be detected at all) although 1 (tiny radius) has same effect.

If anyone else has played around with this and found an answer please let me know. I haven't opened arcanum in world ed yet, so might try that later.

You can right-click a sector on WorlEd. "Block on world map"

There is also a srcipt command:
"toggle the blocked state of sector at location X:(num) and Y:(num)"
