So I heard Red Cross is no longer interested in receiving donations.

I'm glad they don't still try people for witchcraft, because I play fable and several other games that allow me to cast spells of both healing and destruction. Pretty sure I'dve been burned at the stake if that was considered actually practicing magic.

My Red Cross donations were cutting into my video game fund anyway.

The article didn't get too far into the subject, but how far could this go? Would weapons in videogames be outlawed because the person playing the game doesn't have a permit or license to use any of the guns present in the game? There's a DS game where you play a surgeon and attempt to save people's lives. Can you now be sued because, if you fail that one level, you've committed virtual malpractice and you don't even have a medical license?
Games will become very, very dull if the least the Red Cross does is make videogames conform more to reality. Because, as soon as I get home from a hard day at work, the first thing I'll want to do is play "Lawn Care 2: Heat Exhaustion."

Anyone who played Manhunt is fucked. Also anyone who has played those interactive cartoon schoolgirl porn games that the Japs are shitting out at about 1Mill GBPS.

This weakens the Geneva conventions so much. If these go through, governments can now use "The laws are pretty stupid, so nobody has to listen to them" as an excuse to commit war crimes.

There are even worser games. For instance there was a game for the c64 where you could be a commander of a concentration camp. I have not played this game myself, but I have seen this one and saw that it was on the list of forbidden games.

Surely, if you violate the Geneva Convention in a game, sanctions would be applied to your in-game character, not to the person playing the game.

The only possible ramification of this investigation is that future war games will have to include a token Red Cross advocate character, who will tell you off when you execute a terrorist. Maybe they could combine him with the token black character. "You is contravening some serious shit, motherfucker!"

Only a group of spastics could not understand the difference between imagitive role play and real life. This could be dangerous.
Anyone who looks at a dinosaur fossil on the discovery channel are to be considered non believers and a danger to our religious agenda based community.
Not to copy Jeremy Clarkson but I say line then up and shoot them all for their insolence.

This might be more along the lines of "media influences a person's actions," so anyone charged as a war criminal is probably assumed to be planning a war crime some time in the future for playing Modern Warfare. We now live in the same universe as Minority Report. Well, that does explain Tom Cruise.
People have been saying for years that violent entertainment breeds violent behavior - I just think it's a coincidence that I might enjoy CSI just as much as somebody willing to mug me on the street.
Anyone familiar with what happened with comic books a few decades ago? Kids in juvenile detention centers were asked what they liked to read most. They of course said, "Comic books." Obviously, since only the kids in detention centers were polled and they all read comics, the comics must've been why they were bad kids. Alternatively, they could've polled the most well behaved kids on what they liked to read, and those kids would've also said, "comic books." This must mean the comic books made those kids so well behaved. Ah, if only the good kids were asked too.

It probably is a coincidence that you like CSI as much as the mugger, Gross, because they never investigate muggings on that show.

    Hey Troll,

If you bring religion into a non religious thread, I will do horrible things to your orifices, and I'll use Xyle as the implement that does them. A literal pain in the ass.

Another one of those fattened up useless organizations in dire need of a budget slashing.

Seriously, this approaches thought police levels.

Well, you can be certain that if they did and the mugger liked it too, it would be pure coincidence.
    Should've said Law & Order.

Oh Fuck this, Grakelin I would like to fuck your Mongoloid mother in the mouth whilst holding on to her ears. "Squeel piggy squeel!". She would squeel, you would watch and I would cum, on both faces.
