I always liked to think of you as a big man, an excellent spooner and gentle lover. Notice how your quote spoons mine, its a thing of beauty.

I doubt the penalty is the mitigating factor here.
I don't know why we need two different rapes for each scenario. We should just have rape as non-consensual sex and tack battery to the charges if it the sex is forced. Try people with the laws that exist and don't waste time by inventing redundant laws!

EDIT: Oh and for Charonte and Grossenschwamm, this should definitely be moved to the Role Playing forum.

Starting to wish there wasn't so much crap on the internet. The source I got that info from has been torn to shreds by pretty much every other source I've recently found on the net.

I understand physics. You memorize an equation and use it when the situation calls for it. It's as easy as plug and play. It's Language that I keeps me stumbling: Physics Theory, or the interpretion thereof, is nothing more than language applied to science. When math is the means for communicating science, I do fine.

Yeah, but a good theory works with the math it's pushing, as well as fitting with observations. If you don't know the kind of math being used, the theory itself is a good way of determining if the author is on the ball or not.
    Also;

    Silly Japanese.

    Wow. "Plug and play".

Clearly, you do not understand physics.

But clearly he understands rape because that is the best description I've heard for it.

In my 10 years on the internet, I think now is the appropriate time to make a signature.

Thank you for the lol, good troll.

Edit: Apparently, domain administrators are incapable of creating signatures.

Studies also indicate legalized abortions may lower crime. Although I'm too lazy to bother finding the source so feel free to tear that to shreds.

In the sense that if people got abortions illegally, that would be a crime? Or that those who get abortions are more likely to deliver criminals?

I suspect it's that those who lack the will or the means to obtain an illegal abortion are statistically more likely to have delinquent offspring.

Well, considering my home state is actually working to make government funding for planned parenthood illegal so long as it's going toward contraceptives and abortions, I'm thinking illegal abortions aren't too far away.

IIRC It was more in the vein of we were seeing a marked decrease in crime about 17 years after abortion was made legal. There may have been some serious studies, I can't quite recall.

Also, really? They're pulling government funding if it goes to contraceptives? Do they not realize what will eventually happen if we don't stop population growth? I mean, sure, its only one state, but still. Opposing abortion I can understand, even if I can't quite agree with it. But contraceptives?

The bill is going nation wide. Facsimiles are being proposed in each state across the country. Ok, there's the really ridiculous bit; no government funded family planning or even insurance covered contraceptives/abortions. However, these same politicians are perfectly willing to use governemtn money to pay for the children they force women to have. Oh, by the way, certain politicians in the US think that, since life starts at conception (when scientifically life is broadly defined as having circulating blood), a miscarriage is involuntary manslaughter and abortion is murder, and in both cases the woman is at fault and could be fined/penalized. Isn't the US great?
The good thing is, in states where the politicians who propose these bills work, and even if the politicians think the people would go for it, there's on average a 60% voter opposition against them being either elected or re-elected due to their bat-shit campaign platforms.

Well damn. Lets just hope they get hit by cars or something. Do they not know the effects of, say, overpopulation? I mean seriously, if they hamstring our only options for realistically controlling population growth, we would be fucked in the long term. Yo, idiots, the earth is pretty much populated, WE DON'T NEED FAMILIES TO HAVE 10 KIDS ANYMORE. I mean, seriously, we're already slightly overpopulated as it is.

Fuckers are just gonna blindly make it worse. We seriously need to overhaul our government. Its gotten bloated and the gears are all gummed up. Time to smack it with a very large hammer. Can't believe I'm actually hoping for widespread starvation at this point.

Sigh. A tired over-population argument again. Ever since the year 1800 people have been worrying about this. And guess what - we're fine. We hardly use most of the Earth's surface as it is. The oceans are full of water, the sun beams 1,000 watts of energy per square meter onto the surface, and we now know how to grow meat in vats. Not to mention that populations clearly level off and then start to shrink as education levels rise. Honestly - over-population is a non-issue.

The criminalization of abortion, on the other hand, is a real problem, and bogus arguments are not going to help.
