Why do you have 2 ventrillo shortcuts?

EDIT: Might as well show mine. It's as minimalistic as possible.

My roommate and I play alot of Betrayal at House on the Hill, and he's always saying "Somebody should just make this an online game. It would be so easy."

He knows how to do it himself, and has fancy degrees in everything that prove it, but he never has, so I got gamemaker so I could do it.

But then I just couldn't be bothered.

I know the feeling. It helps when you have a friend or partner working with you and you set completion dates with each other coupled with constant communication over said project. You might not finish, but you'll accomplish more than you would alone.

I still kind of like both HOMM IV and V. Even if all the heroes in IV are utterly boring, the skill system and the fact that heroes can actually fight is something I really like. Of course, the game lacks many things (Why the hell did they change the build system from the earlier games?) and it doesn't have the same kind of atmosphere as HOMM III.

HOMM V, on the other hand brought many new good things, such as more unique heroes and factions, a new skills system that I actually like more than the former ones. In my opinion, HOMM V has more depth and more diversity than HOMM III, but it still lacks in terms of feeling, I guess. Otherwise, I'd play it more often.

I haven't played HOMM II that much, but it feels much like a bad version of HOMM III.

Those of you using Chrome do know that Google actively monitors atleast a portion of all data accessed through it, right?

I'd post my desktops, but they're pretty dull. The windows one is just a clusterfuck of random icons on a black background; linux is a little more lively with a couple of wallpapers but no icons what so ever (I use application launchers for freakin' everything these days).

What is it with you and being such a bitter dickhead lately? Maybe I just didn't notice before because you never posted?

It is a big deal anyway, I'd rather not have google or anyone else monitoring my bank details or downloads or whatever the fuck else I happen to be doing. That's called privacy by the way.

Most companies try to monitor what you do in order to provide the best custom service.

Google just happens to be a little better at this than other companies.

I'm not talking about a singular service though (such as youtube, which is fair enough); chrome has access to near everything you do online - http/ftp downloads, webpages you visit, passwords, bank details etc etc. Maybe if i ever went through the source code and found out exactly what was being collected I'd consider using it again, but as it stands it's just not worth risking it.

Besides, they don't even tell you they're doing it - you can disable a part of it in the settings IIRC, but data is still being collected even with that disabled.
