It is, but they probably aren't consciously driven by it. They're searching for gender equality in the house, though I can definitely see your point. I don't think senators in the office should be ousted simply because they're male.

They're still not as batshit insane as the socialists, thought. I was a member of the local socialists for all of two hours before I caught the following gem and decided to get out while I still could.

I'd love to see her try that on my mum, she'd knock the stupid bint out.

 

That woman seems to forget that the nuclear family goes two ways. The woman can go out and be the breadwinner, and the man can stay at home and be a home-maker. I love how one-sided people get when their political views take precedence over common sense.

 

Sexual stereotypes go two ways as well, leading to a no-win all across the board. If the woman stays home while the man works, she's "trapped" in an oppressive gender role. Yet if given the chance to flaunt her shit out in the professional world while the man stays home, he's considered a lazy ass who can't support his family. This leads us to two things:

#1: Women will never be satisfied no matter how much they are given in to.

#2: Because of this elusive satisfaction, they will bitch, and bitch, and bitch, and bitch, and......bitch.

Lesson learned.

 

Anti-family feminism is massively grating, even if it may have its uses in certain circumstances.

Radicals on both sides seem to be personally offended at the thought of individuals being allowed to find out what works for them. Religious conservatives at least have an excuse for turning off their brains, but anyone preaching "liberation" needs to be better than this.

 

Some of their censorship stuff rubs me the wrong way, but if they really want equal numbers of men and women in the senate, the obvious thing to do is double the amount of seats and have a man and a woman from every current riding.

Call me a lazy ass then because that's precisely what both I and my wife want. She wants to work, and I want to cook. It just works that way for us. Unfortunately we're still not financially secure enough, and she's still working on that fucking masters, so I still have to drag my ass away from the kitchen and to the god damned office full of morons that should be sterilized, hung upside down, and beaten for my personal stress relief.

 

My girlfriend plans to get a doctorate, while the most I can currently hope for is a bachelor's or maybe a master's in drama or political science.

I, also, will not be bringing in as many resources as my partner.

 

I can imagine your girlfriend riding around in a Tiberium harvester with full green bars while you return to the base with yellow.

 

Whatever works for you, AO. I don't agree with it, but unfortunately it's a common smear on a lot of cultures with people who do think that way. I'm not trying to undermind a homemakers role either. My wife and I work opposite shifts of each other so one of us is always home with our 18 month old daughter, just so we can save money from having to use daycare (which will drain you dry in the pocketbook). I get mornings and she gets evenings and, if we're lucky, we get to see each other almost an hour out of each day. I get stressed out trying the keep the house together and the kid in line for just those few hours to start the day. I couldn't imagine making an entire career out of it. Some days I'm thrilled just to get out of the house and look forward to the following 12 hour shift at work.

 

If you would stop smashing the ten thousand dollar chemical vats, maybe you'd get a cushy promotion.
