If I store old newspapers or notes or anything really in say a chest in an inn, will someone else ever go in there and steal my stuff? I am tired of wasting inventory space carrying stuff I don't really need with me.
man i am sure that if you put your stuuf in a chest or stuff like that NOBODY will steal it. but if you put it in a place that changes every time(like the garbage cans in tarrant then after 1 day it will Disaper!!!!) (i wonder for what there is the magelock spell?)
I've tried it for a few days in a box in Tarant. So far so good. However, I'd like to be reassured before I start putting good stuff in boxes...
Yep its safe alright i just got me self a house in caladon (by killing the owners) and it has a few contaners nothing gon from there as far as i know i would alsow like to fined out the point of the spell magelock
magelock i used this spell to lock the doors so reinforcements of patrolling guards won't bother me while i'm killing someone who calls for help. Fact is they didn't enter
and.. another pointless thing is the abilaty to plant items.... (i tried to set a dynamte on one guard, but after u set the dynamte u cant pick it up and plant him!....) SO WHAT PLANTING IS FOR???????
I dunno I never used planting. I was thinking maybe it could be useful if you wanted to make a person a walking storage bin. I mean, anything you put on them or take stays on/off for the whole game. I stole some guy's clothes and he just walked around in his undies the rest of the game, so I guess if you wanted him to wear something else you could just plop it on him through pickpocket. Also useful for planting poisonous items on people. Their AI automatically equips it unless they have stronger weapons/armor/equipment, so if you want to poison some guard just slip a Ring of Invisibility on him and toss him some Diseased Leather Armor.
yeah hee hee yeah that is good idea!!! but it cant be the only use, cuz when you become pickpocket master then you always sucseed planting items(i think), so why becoming a master?
I wasn't wourried at all about my stuff being stolen in the shed in Arcanum until now. I just talked to a passer by & I asked what's the word & he replied "There's been a high theft rate in Tyrant make sure you lock up all your valubles." I haven't been in the wherehouse yet by the bank or whatever but I heard most people saying that they store their stuff in a crate there.
