It seems that there is no way you can see if you have written your email/password/search title/thread title correctly. That is because your typing remains invisible.

This is a temporary problem caused by the sheer ugliness of the current forum style/theme.

This will be fixed as soon as we can afford porting the old theme.

Would it be possible to have a black & red colour scheme as it used to be before? In my opinion, the old scheme gave the site such a unique and relaxing feeling to it somehow.

The old style will be making a comeback shortly, no worries.

That's a relief, it's awfully unfamilliar as it is at the moment. Though I wish that you do not rush the development to get everything done ASAP; I'd rather wait for a fully functional website than to recieve something unfinished. As we say in Sweden, "Thee who waits for something good, waits never for too long".

To be honest we don't really have the manpower here to get a ton of work done in a hurry even if we wanted to so it'll be a gradual process. But having the forums running on XF is the basis for everything that will follow, so it's a very important first step. Once the forums are fully functional again, the rest will eventually fall into place as well.

The norm is that greyed out (which is "silver" here) means old and anything coloured is new. What you've been using before was really counter-intuitive to how these icons are used everywhere else so the guy recreating the style changed it to what makes sense to him, but it's easy enough to swap the icons. This same thing had me confused before too, so to me it only makes sense now because I always associate any greyed icons with "old".

Yeah, for thse of us who have visited this place regularly for 10+ years (Probably also for those who have been here shorter than that), this change is very confusing.

Basically the grey cog is a shiny new one. While the brown one is a rusty and old. Makes total sense.

I have to say though, I'd love it if the forum actually was so active as it looks with all these grey cogs.

Aha! I knew it was weird to see a shining clog at places where no one have been before since a very long time.

It would be great if the download section as well as home page would work again, I recently reinstalled Arcanum and realized I didn't have the HighRes patch on my PC, and alas the download section was - and still is - down. Luckily, I did have a backup file on my old PC, but it's still something that would require fixing.

I still wonder about one thing; Are we going to keep the uploading your own custom avatars or the way it used to be that you will get a custom at 1000th posts and all?

I plan on looking into it, I want to get the backer badges for the kickstarter backers working too.

The old system was kind of a work around because technically they weren't avatars they were rank badges and we turned off avatars for people who had them.
