Well, what the title says. Tried with both the resurrect spell (with high magical aptitude) and reanimator (high techinical aptitude (save editor)), no luck, i get "this life cannot be replnished" message. Any way to bypass this? And by that, i mean ANY? I will gladly use cheats, mods, whatever, just to avoid backtracking to my last save :/
I doubt it. Later in the story he... Spoiler betrays you. So it's likely a contingency to account for that.
Yeah, i know about that, and that's surely the reason behind this little annoyance That's why I'm so eager to cheat him in Oh well, looks like I'll be beating the Dredge, stillwater and stonecutter again. He better not die in that stupid pass this time, or I'm gonna leave him, i swear.
The Dregde is miserable, but the Stillwater and the Stonecutter Clan aren't too bad so your reload isn't too dreadful. Remember to quick save often, and to make main saves every now and again as back-ups. Godspeed you fine fellow.

You need to befriend Gideon Laier in T'sen-Ang with Volinger in your party. To do this, you need to have read Joachim's book on the connection between the Molochean Hand and the Derian-Ka. When approached by Gideon, talk to him about the Derian-Ka and tell him that they're making the same mistakes all over again. Gideon will then tell Volinger to return to his previous duties. He'll admit to being a member of the Hand, offer to remain in your party and will no longer betray you. There could be additional requirements (such as intelligence or picking certain dialogue options with M'in Gorad) but these are all I know of.
