I'd be inclined to merge Haggle with Persuasion altogether.

To get back to the point of your post: yes, dual wielding is a good idea.

Mmmmm.... dual wielding. I think it would have to be just daggers, Legolas-style. Fair, yet still incredibly fun.

Well I don't think it should be JUST daggers but the pentalty to hit (and there should be, somthing along the lines of dnd 3rd addition style) will increase the bigger, or heavier the weapon...

Also, I'd like to see whips... I like whips.. in a dnd campaign my character dual wield whips, and yes, I had a huge negative mod to hit...

I would like to dual wield revolvers. Or a revolver&light sword combo.

I also agree with the Haggle Persuasion idea. My main argument here is that it's somewhat not fitting that you can convince someone to "jump off the roof" being Master of Persuasion but you can't convince the most lame shopkeeper in Arcanum to lower the price by 1 coin.

Mmmm...dual pistols. Now THAT would be beautiful. Maybe a duel mode (yes, that IS duEl) - it would be hard to get right, but *drool*...

*wipe mouth* And better use of terrain, e.g, hiding behind barrels.

Oh! And when you make a character, it would make you choose whether your main hand is the left hand, or the right hand. If it is the right hand, then all single-wielded weapons would be in that hand, and the right would deliver the power in the dual-handed weapons. If you wielded two weapons, your best hand would give a normal hit, while the other would give a slightly weaker hit.

I would also like to see some spot for a side arm.

I found it quite annoying when I had to keep going to my inventroy to switch between my knife and gun (knife for rats and such and gun for more powerful creatures)

Also some sort of reloading animation would be great and slow down they gun users (they would have to be a bit more powerful to compensate)

O also being able to crouch, and lay down would allow better acuracy for rifles and such

And I would like Turn based mode to be tweaked a bit, or have better documentation

I would like the combat to be more like Fallout's combat, straight action points and costs none of this( speed 23 ) I dont understand how they think it up! I dont have the AP to do something, the circles are red, and I can still do it!

I agree about that!

Also, we need specific weapons animations!

Ya, using the Rapier as a mace is just WRONG!! And it would be great if they could get better death animations!!

amen to the renisance type rapier! I love the renisance. to make a suggestion Arcanum 2 should take place in the renisance era. or maybe the middle ages w/ the knights and kings and lords and dukes (oh my! ) or be the same time period when the first game ended. who know's IF they will make one. now if some one sent this to serria........ that would be a good idea........

I agree the Rapier thing. The first time a saw the game I thought it would be a lot of swords like that... then I realiza it was the only one, and yes, it was used to hit like a mace instead of a thrust attack.

Double revolver is a cool idea, it should cost less AP to attack with them, or attack faster in real-time.

And be able to wield a two-handed sword with two hands to increase damage. You saw those Undead Champions Geoffrey summons? They look great when they attack!

Why? I like it better! It looks better... well it'd be better one bigger, but the standard one is too big, I don't like it.

Imagine dual-wielding guns. I've always wanted that.

I have it on reasonably good authority (my neighbor is a cop) that dual-wielding firearms would do more harm to you than to your enemy. Kickback, balance issues, that sort of thing.... Well unless you've got those itsy-bitsy pistols the size of your pinky finger, but that would go against the spirit of powergaming now wouldn't it.

I'm still not entirely convinced that this dual-wielding thing isn't some sort of misplaced Drizzt fetish.

i think it would be cool, it used well. I mean, eventually wed have people walking around 3with like 2 flamethrowers and junk. Canis, trokia'd probably ignore you about the impossibility of the two gun thingy.
I think that there should be a seperate skill to weild two things in each hand, like a skill like melee and dodge. And you couldent weild two big weapons, i.e no 2 axes and stuff. Like you could only weild a rapier and a dagger (drool), or 2 daggers, or an axe and a dagger.
