Well, I'd like a few years time-skip in the story here, guys, so some of the seeds we've planted can grow.

What do you do while a part of a mega-tribe on warfooting on the eurasian steppes for five or ten years?

Politics, technology or military projects should be spelled out now, please.

EXAMPLE: Haethor grows up, gets kicked out of home, kicks ass with star-iron tusks and moves in to a new herd as an alpha bull. Of course, he never forgets.

    Anytime you're ready.

Did H. sapiens kill your parents?

Choose the bat totem because H. sapiens are a cowardly and superstitious lot?

Invent all of your gadgets yourself using the power of childhood trauma?

Seriously, you're welcome so long as it's not pure absurdity. Moderate absurdity is fine.

PS. actually Choon might grow up to be batman. He was orphaned and is now the heir of the inventor.

There is also a pet monkey named Nuisance which you can play without too much backstory ;)

    Great work, everyone!

Now, sooner or later, there's going to have to be a small-party sortie into the heart of the empire, a la Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, etc.

Only with the side mission of our heroes can the good guys win the overall war. Obviously.

Soo, OOC, I suggest assassinating &/or holding hostage the Empress &/or Nago. Nago and his army could also be a party to betraying the empire. A revolution to depose the matriarchy with a theocrasy.

The quickest way to Africa is by sea, and Senko has yet to display his particular skills.

I apologise if you all would prefer more input from me as we go, but I always remember rule one of game-mastering: Let the players play.

Let there be 10 karma points for everyone.

Although you are a latecomer, Wolfsbane, you will have earned your xp by smiting the spambots.

Does everyone understand the 3rd ed. shadowrun rules for spending karma?

    Okay.

For skills less than or equal to ability score, 1.5 x (next level) = karma cost.

    So, raising tracking from 4 to 5 = 5 x 1.5 = 8 karma. Always round up.

For skills above ability score, 2.0 x (next level).
    So, raising athletics from 5 to 6 (where body < 6) = 6 x 2 = 12 karma.

For abilities, 2.0 x (next level).
    So, raising Intelligence from 6 to 7 = 7 x 2 = 14 karma.

It's complex, but what the hey. I think it's fun to upgrade character sheets. If you don't enjoy it, don't bother.

Oh, and for language/knowledge skills, karma = next level.
    So, to raise language A from zero to five = 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + 5 = 15 karma.

I was wondering about which boats they began to use in this era. Still hollow tree chunks, or are they smart enough to make wooden ones now? Oh. I find it interesting to go on adventure in the Empire of The Nose-Stealers.

Edit: There is one in the other thread called TeresaSwan. Could you be so kind to remove that post?

Edit1: Before I make a mistake. How is the Vision Quest of Otro? Physical (like going to the top of a mountain to find the answers by a guru) or in a trance through meditation omand/or mushrooms?

I reckon there's no evidence of boats in this era, but we're acting as though whatever can be done probably was done.

I rule that massive canoes carved out of single tree-trunks are the batteships of the day, but... Senko will have knowledge of the polynesian-style catamarans with the crab-claw sail; about as efficient a craft as it is possible to make. Still carved from trees rather than planks, but high-tech even when compared to european ships of three centuries ago.

Agree. What about my question about the Vision Quest? Because I want to be sure before I react to this.

That is for Gross to decide. However, given that Animagus is not very socialised, and that most secret rituals are, well, secret, if your shaman says he's going on a vision quest, then that's probably all the information you're likely to get.

I understand. Yes. Animagus rather finds those secret rituals utter strange and maybe discomforting than liking them. He probably takes it literal or something.

Edit: Anyone has an idea for the name of destiny's dog? Huan? Like the wolfhound in the book Silmarillion.

    How about Fate?
Btw, since I have a minute to spare, here's a little grammar coaching for you..

I understand. Yes. Animagus [rather] finds those secret rituals utterly strange and maybe discomforting rather than liking them. He probably takes it literally or something.

Edit: [Anyone has] Has anyone or Does anyone have an idea for the name of destiny's dog? Huan? Like the wolfhound in the book Silmarillion.

English is irrational in that the grammar depends largely on word order rather than case ending like most other indo-european languages. Unlike most others, only familiarity rather than systematic logic provides the correct method.

Thank you very much with improving my grammar. I really appreciate it.

Back on topic: Okay. Fate it is. I do like the name.

    No problemo bro.

Now, having read over the contribution of Grossenschwamm, I think he's doing a better job of game-mastering and I would like to join in as a mere player instead.

What say you, Gross? Will you be the story-teller?

How about playing one of Suls new boys? A neanderthal struggling with the teachings and ways of homo sapiens?
