It was dead, but then you guys kept throwing in 2 word posts to push to 20. Now look what you did, your recklessness has caused the thread to grow to over 30 pages. May God have mercy on us all!

Is this the part where one of you uncovers an easily misunderstood but oddly literal phrase in the bible that says people can kill those who have wronged them to the point of making said individuals incapable of finding work? Just to be clear, I'm speaking out of selfish reasons and have yet to find some form of closure through years of psychotherapy and countless meds. I'm currently hallucinating worse than if I was on a low dose of aid and I've been clean for 7 weeks. Not in a happy place. Thanks to the tricks my mind plays on me, I don't recognize my own face anymore.

Have you tried memorising what you see in the mirror? It may help towards recognition.

Presumably he doesn't know whether he's looking in the mirror or at a photograph. He might accidentally memorise the picture of George W. Bush that he has on the fridge, thinking that it's his own face.

And then look at a dollar and go "huh, that's my face on there."

Note: I've never been to America so I don't know what's printed on the different values of USD.

It's not that, my face literally changes as I look at it. If I'm not in a well lit bathroom, my face transforms until it's no longer human. Hence, I don't recognize what my mind has done with my face.

Sometimes I'm afraid to look in the mirror when it's very dark, in case I'm actually a monster and end up scaring myself.

But I can usually overcome that using the power of mocking myself for being irrational.

I didn't say I was standing in a dark bathroom being afraid of my reflection. I said if it's not well lit, I don't recognize my face. This can be a simple as not turning on the lights in the bathroom when there's natural light coming in through the window.
I hallucinate more when there's not enough light, which I expect because the less visual information being received, the more one's mind fills in the blanks. However, these are situations in which I used to see fine. When my mind filled in the blanks, everything looked normal. Now it doesn't. I can't even look at other people if there's not enough light in the room, or their faces transform too. Last night my mom looked like Voldemort, and I don't even read Harry Potter.
Next thing you know I'm going to start seeing people sparkle, and I'll spend hours describing how absolutely perfect their bodies are. Then I think I'll have to kill myself.

That sounds like kind of a disturbing problem you have there.

Do you think that maybe yoga or other focusing techniques might help, Gross?

    Firstly,
Since when does having authority decrease the humanity of those who are under authority?

    Secondly,
It would seem that the term "half-truth" does not only apply to me and what I believe. The women that I have meet, and gone to church with, believe that the husband is to be held responsible as the head of the household and any man that refuses to take responsibility for his household is as an immature child. So on one hand you have those that believe men that assume authority over his family demeans the wife, and on the other, a man who fails to do so is still immature. The chief problem is the failure to understand that authority and responsiblity are flip sides of the same coin: You cannot have one without the one.
