I've stored the story state in global variable 1, but when I change global var 1, the new text doesn't appear in loading screens. It remains the previous state's text. Does anyone know why that might be?

The problem is easy (I believe).
Store a value is juste for test it (check if the player is at a certain point of the stotry for use the story states as examples).
To change the story state, you have a special script line :
    story state set to (num).
The story state will become the number between brackets.
(Sorry to answer after several weeks, I was in Japan)
