Which would you choose of the FIREARMS in Arcanum to have as a real antique in the real world?

My choice is the Rifled Canon.

Hand cannon. Who wouldn't want a pistol that seconds as a tank gun?

On a more serious note, a curiosity such as Bronwyck's Gun or the elegant simplicity of the Hand Crafted Flintlock would do it for me.

Elephant gun, though I'd probably end up firing it wrong and breaking a fair few bones.

Flintlock pistol. Perfect when there is nothing else around!

I rather like the look of the Marksmans or Clarington rifles.

I very much appreciate the aesthetics and would frequently choose one of these guns over an elephant gun in a tech run. I would also run around in a nice suit, top hat and throw pocket watches when I ran out of bullets but that is an entirely different story.

Arcanum is one of the most innovative RPGs to have been released since Fallout, which is no surprise given that its creators were part of the original Fallout team. The quirky blend of technology, magick, and the 'steampunk' setting remeniscent of our own 1800's make for interesting fare indeed. If this is the first RPG you've ever attempted, then be warned: it is quite a difficult game.

Better hope that you're not facing any fire elementals. Still remember how surprised I was long ago when I first realized it doesn't do really shit against them and had to pick up my old elephant gun from Vollinger just for finishing Pit of Fires. It did like 3-4 damage to them meaning that those things resisted about ALL of electric damage that the gun causes. Don't see the logic behind it (unless electric and fire resistance are somehow linked), but that's how it is.

I figured I'd have it in real life. I'd fry wompas from the hammock on my porch while my tobacco-chewing brother perfected the scene by playing some hillybilly beat on his trusty old banjo. That'd be the dream.

I'd have the Fine Revolver, as it is rather simple, beautiful and fast. It is one of my favorite guns in Arcanum as it is cheap to produce and can be sold for somewhat of a profit. I just think it would be a gun which is fun to have.
