Okay so having never played a real tabletop role playing game I was looking at doing so and have now learnt there are services which allow such a game to take place online such as this one:

    www.fantasygrounds.com/

Is there any interest here in giving such a game a go? Having never played at all I'm not about to volunteer as the game master so I guess one of those is needed.

I would gladly accept, it is also my case of never having the chance of playing a real tabletop. My generation think that's loosing time and going to get drunk/high on Friday is fun.
Luckily enough i'm an asocial, the only trouble with this is that i'm busy almost 24/7, so arrange something and i will try my best to join.

Not that I could actually take part because labs are going to keep me busy most days, but I'd gladly read a transcript of what happenings you get up to (usually what I look at the roleplaying forums for anyway). Don't bother if it's too much effort, still I'm sure others would want to read along too.

Anyone here willing to run the game? I'm not a great candidate having never even played before.

I know that Wolfsbane is a great GM. Don't think I'll have the time in the near future to participate, but I certainly like the idea.

Edit: Oooh, 4E! That is something I like. Prices are reasonable, especially if we can actually pull this through.

As long as a DM don't want to pay around 149 $, then yes, by the looks of it. I didn't read it so carefully, but it's on the website.

There are other websites with similar services, the one in my post is just an example we don't have to use it.

I understand there is a free software almost identical to this one, maybe you could try looking in sourceforge.

If you guys want to play D&D 4E (or most anything else), I can DM it for you, provided you guys give me a schedule and format for it. I've been DMing for ages and own the sourcebooks to almost everything good that has ever existed.

I might constrict the party size, though.

I'm interested. I haven't been on a campaign in a few years, and I'd like to play again.

    Schedule I can handle.

Format is the type of game we want to play or some such?

Sure, but I also want to know where you want to play it. IRC? Gametable? I have no interest in shelling out money for stuff that is available as freeware, mind you.
