As the moon came up in the sky, the group set up camp to rest and to make up time. Animagus and his two companions kept the first watch for he took his responsibility for the safety of his men very seriously. The start of the night was uneventful and full of noises of animals that did not exist at home.

"Who would have thought that we are more than thousand away from home?" said Animagus to nobody in particularity.

This is the closest I've been to home since the day we first met, Dogman.

Pyot spoke from the shadows, appearing as if from nowhere, as usual.

But whatever happens, no regrets. It has been a good life, and an honour to eat your enemies, old friend.

True. Yes, I agree. Looking back of what we have lived through; Great battles for the survival of our much suffering tribes and now, travelling in a pretty much unknown, beautiful...yet dangerous territories, I would say that we had a good life behind us.

As the hours goes by, Animagus and Pyot started to talk about the next length of the journey. Most of it goes about the hostilities of the land and other dangers that may lie ahead of them. Not only that is important for the moral if the group, it also could make a whole difference between life and death of them all.

While talking, Animagus gave some food to his companions and to his old friend Pyot.

Now Keelsol the runner was at home in this land, and he could read the tracks in the sand like a book, if books had been invented. So, he led his companions and told them news from the tracks.

They were being shadowed. Family groups of Lost Boys and neanderthal women were fading away. News of their approach preceded them.

The valley was apparently deserted, even of animals, but clearly inhabited. When they crested the hill overlooking the festival grounds, they saw the terrible Castle, it's drawbridge opened invitingly...

As the drawbridge opened, Animagus did not like it all. It is going too easy...much too easy. He and his two companions, silently look around for hidden traps and assailants who could lay hiding to strike them down. No, Animagus did not take any chances for he would not led his men towards danger. Keelsol*, who saw what Animagus was doing came to help him.

Thanks. he whispered. Better safe than sorry.

*[[OOC]] He was better into tracking in this place, right? [[/OOC]]
