Hi guys. I would like to apologise if I was too lazy to search in this forum if the answer to this question is easy to find in here. And the problem is: I have a problem eben installing Arcanum on win7. Im using Virtual Clone Drive to mount an ISO image in a hard drive so the installation window opens. After that an installation shield wizard should open up but it doesnt. The same when trying to click setup.exe manually under explorer. Tried run as administator, also tried running under compatibility with Win7. So in general I cant even install Arcanum under win7. If anyone can help me wiht that problem I would be grateful. Thanks and regards.
What Arthgon said, also perhaps try different virtual drive software if the guide posted doesn't help.
If youre interested if its the oryginal version of the game the answer is no, its not. It was downloaded from torrents and checked under Vista and apart from some minor issues the installation was running without any problems. My oryginal copy was lost long time ago and just because I couldnt find anything oryginal I downloaded this one. If anyone knows any source of oryginal Arcanum I can download pls let me know. Im a huge fun of Arcanum and Fallout series and just wanted to bring back some good memories. About resolving the problem I will try to mount the image under different software and I will see how it goes. Regards.
Just wanted to confirm - after downloading the oryginal game from gog.com the installation and also all patches (1.0.7.4 english + UAP 081229 and hires patch) finally worked! Thanks very much guys. Regards
If you pick your criminal career right I'm sure it pays just fine on an hourly basis... Err, I mean, yeah. Crime doesn't pay. And don't do drugs. And always brush after meals.
You do realize he could've just pirated the GoG version with the same results? In that way, crime would've paid anyway.
Well sorry for taking what he said at face value! Maybe I should just be suspicious of everyone in the future.
If everyone pirates GOG games, GOG won't have the funds to keep going and provide more games in the future, so it won't pay in the long run.
If you love something you need to support it or it won't be there in the future. That's a pretty basic rule of thumb there that everyone should take to heart.
Ah man. Just as I was getting excited to finally get to use the "purge user" function, he did the right thing. Phooey.
