    Hi,

    I am working on reverse engineering of the Arcanum file formats, currently i am figuring out how maps work (right now working on sec files).

    I wrote information in a wiki about the formats that i mostly figured out already, you can check this out here:

    I am posting this here before i am fully done because:
    1) I have a full time Job and i am studying for a degree in CS and Mathematics so i might abandon this at some point due to not having enough time.
    2) At this point i think i reached enough information that might be useful and as far as i know is not yet public knowledge (Unlike for example the art and dat files)

    I hope someone except for myself will find it useful, you can also check the code i wrote so far in (And join in if you like python coding):

    If you look on the git history you will see that two years ago i also wrote some code for this project (focusing on rendering the main menu and videos), i started over, and didn't port all the old stuff yet (so for example my decent art parsing is in the old commits but not in the new commits yet..)
